Geelong is getting a convention and event centre worthy of its growing status as one of Australia's most dynamic regional cities.

Built is delivering the $449 million Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre on behalf of Development Victoria - a landmark waterfront development that will reshape how the region attracts events, visitors, and investment for decades to come.

The project takes its name from the Wathaurong words for 'river country', honouring the Traditional Owners of the land on which it stands. It's a fitting foundation for a venue designed to serve the whole community.

When complete, the centre will deliver world-class meeting and event facilities to a region that has long punched above its weight in business, sport, and culture. It adds to a transforming Geelong waterfront precinct and supports the city's continued growth as a destination for major national and international events.

The scale of the project - across workforce, supply chain, and local content - reflects the ambition Geelong deserves.

SocialPro is being used by the project teams to assist with delivery of this project.
