One of Melbourne's busiest hospitals is getting the emergency department it has long needed.
Built is delivering the $275 million Austin Hospital emergency department expansion in Heidelberg on behalf of the Victorian Health Building Authority - a critical upgrade to one of Victoria's most important tertiary health facilities.
The Austin Hospital serves one of Melbourne's largest and most diverse catchment areas, including complex trauma, neurology, oncology, and general emergency presentations. The expansion will significantly increase capacity and capability - reducing pressure on existing facilities and improving outcomes for patients and clinical staff alike.
At $275 million, the project is one of the most substantial health infrastructure investments in Melbourne's north-east. It supports hundreds of construction jobs throughout delivery and will create lasting employment in healthcare services once operational.
Built brings a strong track record in health infrastructure to one of the state's most important builds - delivering a facility that will serve Melbourne's growing north-east community for decades.
SocialPro is being used by the project teams to assist with delivery of this project.
